THURSDAY, MARCH 2
The College Bowl – Thursday Evening Social 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm Get ready to refresh your knowledge of current standards and skills of speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and communication disorders while attending the College Bowl. This is a competition between the university student programs in Communication Disorders. Each team will consist of 5 members: 3 students, 1 faculty (clinical or academic), and 1 state association member. There is no limit to the number of teams that can be entered into this head-to-head competition to win the coveted title of College Bowl Champion. Questions and answers will Follow a Jeopardy style format. Questions will represent those typically found on the NESPA examination. Points will be awarded for correct answers. The university with the most points will be awarded prizes. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place teams. Teams and audience members are encouraged to wear appropriate collegiate attire and bring banners or other props to advertise teams. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative team. Teams and audience cheerleaders will be awarded .1 CEU.
FRIDAY, MARCH 3 Friday, March 3 Business and Awards Luncheon 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm You are invited to attend this Luncheon. For all attendees, pre-registration for the luncheon is required. Please see the Convention Registration form for registration.
NEW THIS YEAR The Exhibitor Commercial Sessions 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm A new and creative way for convention attendees to earn continuing education units. Participating exhibitors will present ASHA CE-approved sessions relative to speech-language pathology and audiology in areas such as product information, services, technology, industry trends, or professional issues.
