Instructional Levels: All presentations must indicate level of instruction utilizing the following descriptions:

Introductory: This level assumes the audience has little or no familiarity with the literature and professional practice with the areas covered.

Intermediate: This level assumes the audience has general familiarity with the literature and professional practice with the area covered. 

Advanced: This level assumes total familiarity with current literature and professional practice in the area. 

Audiovisual Equipment Needs

Please read all of the information below concerning AV for your presentation to ensure IMASH and you are prepared for your presentation.

All rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector, with audio capabilities from your laptop, and one material table.

Important - Laptops are not provided - Please make arrangements to bring a computer for your presentations. IMASH will not be responsible for providing laptops on site.

MAC Users - If you are planning to connect a MAC to an LCD projector, you must bring the appropriate cords to adapt your MAC to the projector cord. The Boise Center does not provide MAC adaptor cords. Be prepared to connect to both VGA and HDMI connections.

MAC users - please read and acknowledge the following:
I am aware as a MAC user I am responsible for bringing the appropriate adaptor cords.

PC Users - If you have a newer PC (two-three years old) check to see if your port is VGA or HDMI. If it is HDMI, you will need to either bring a converter or HDMI cord to make sure your computer connects to the LCD projector.

Internet may not be available in session rooms.  If your session is dependent on the use of the internet, please inidicate below and the IMASH Office will contact you to determine if internet will be available.

Indicate below any additional AV you will need for your presentation, including internet connectivity.

All AV requests are subject to approval by the Convention Committee. Approval of AV requests will be provided in the Presenter Confirmation Notification. AV is not provided for poster presentations. If you do not indicate the need for AV or contact the IMASH Office prior to Convention, IMASH will not be responsible for your presentation or any additional fees charged to ensure your presentation is working properly.

Handouts
IMASH will place presenters' handouts on the IMASH website/app prior to the Convention.  This will permit attendees to print those handouts for sessions they plan to attend prior to arriving at the Convention.  The deadline for submissions of handouts for placement on the IMASH website/app (and availability at the Convention)  is August 1, 2017.  Handouts must be received via electronic mail to the IMASH Office (hard copies and faxes can not be accepted).  Presenters who do not provide handouts to IMASH prior to this date will be responsible for providing handouts to the attendees.

All program presenters are expected to follow accepted procedures to protect human subjects.  Such procedures might include possession of evidence of a statement from a Human Service Review Committee authorizing the study as one that adequately protects the human subjects, possession of evidence informed consent and signed release from all subjects or clients approving the use of date or clinical materials for presentation in a public forum (essential for clinical material or presentations involving videotapes), or evidence from written material presented in response to this Call for Papers that would indicate that subject or client identity has been appropriately protected.

Presentations About Products or Services

Courses providing information about a product or service are to use the following guidelines:
  • Must provide information in a scholarly manner regarding theoretical aspects related to the product or service and/or the details of operation.

  • Must disclose prior to the course that there will be limited or no information provided about similar products or services.

Must not be used by presenters to promote, take orders or sell products or materials.

Disclosure to Attendees

Presenters are required to provide appropriate disclosures prior to the start of their presentation on their first presentation slide.  The IMASH Office will provide examples of how to write a disclosure statement with your confirmation email.

Authors/Presenters

Convention Registration Policy for Presenters
All presenters are required to register for the IMASH Convention. IMASH appreciates the time and effort it takes to prepare and present a session. In recognition of this, a special presenter discount of $25 off the Registration. Please note that submission of the following Call for Papers, is acknowledgement of the required registration policy. 

Biographical Sketches
Biographical sketches include the name of the presenters, their affiliations (i.e., practice settings), and a brief description of their qualifications for presenting the proposed session.  (Note:  Biographical Sketches are not vitae or resumes, but are brief narratives of no more than 50 words.)

Presenter Disclosures: For each author/presenter a Financial and Non-Financial Disclosure must be submitted.

Financial Disclosure

Relevant financial relationships are those relationships in which the individual benefits by receiving a salary, royalty, intellectual property rights, gift, speaking fee, consulting fee, honoraria, ownership interest (e.g., stocks, stock options, or other ownership interest, excluding diversified mutual funds), or other financial benefit. Financial relationships can also include “contracted research” where the institution gets the grant and manages the funds and the individual is the principal or named investigator on the grant. For all financial relationships, indicate the institution providing the funding for salary, royalties, grants, etc.

Relevant non-financial relationships are those relationships that might bias an individual including any personal, professional, political, institutional, religious or other relationship. May also include personal interest or cultural bias.
