Craven Management Associates, LLC is a professional services firm serving non-profit organizations and their directors, business owners and their advisors, and discerning individuals worldwide.
In 1991, after 16 years of business management experience with two Fortune 500 corporations, Robert Craven, CPA began operating as a sole proprietorship. The practice was established to provide business management services, tax planning and preparation, and business valuations to individuals, small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations.
Craven
Management Associates, LLC was formed in 1999 to provide additional focus
on business management clients.
The firm currently serves as
Association Manager for several professional associations ranging in scale
from local to regional, and statewide to national.
A variety of business management services are provided to address
the unique needs of each client.
With an eclectic blend of
clients, tax-planning services are provided to both business owners and
individuals. Craven Management
Associates is often involved in consulting on non-recurring
transactions, such as the structuring of acquisition transactions to
compliment specific strategic initiatives.
In addition, consulting and litigation support services are offered
in cases involving partner/shareholder disputes, estate planning matters,
and divorce proceedings.
In the area of business
valuations, Craven Management Associates has provided expert witness
testimony and occasionally has presented at professional seminars addressing
various business valuation issues.
High-income individuals
represent a growing client segment. Multifaceted planning includes tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning.

Prior to forming his own firm, Mr. Craven’s professional career reflects a unique blend of broad business management experience. Responsibilities ranged from serving as business manager for a $30 million technology services business to directing an aggressive acquisition program that involved conducting due diligence efforts, negotiating with entrepreneurs, presenting recommendations to the corporate board of directors and managing post-acquisition integration efforts. He has also served as senior economist, advising the legal department of a multinational corporation in its defense of antitrust litigation filed by the federal government. Mr.
Craven holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in
economics from Penn State University. He is a Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
He also is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA), the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). |
